EEPROM erased after sketch upload

How could I get my eeprom to be not erased on sketch upload? Right now it seems default behavior wipe out all my eeprom data during sketch upload.

This is known, I record reading somewhere that Paul was going to address this at some point but there is nothing you can do at the moment to stop it as far as I know. Best bet at present is probably to use an SD card instead for your data storage.
