W5100 shield and Teensy 3.1

I'm trying to get an Arduino Ethernet shield I had lying around to work with my Teensy 3.1

I realise its not the newest tech but from a bit of googling it looked like it should (probably) work.

The shield isn't an official one but it is this one http://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/arduino-wiznet-shield

with the exception of the top left pin on the shield which I don't have.

I'm trying to get the webserver sketch to work - I get 4 lights on the shield but I can't ping the ip address and the Serial Monitor reports Server 0.0.0.0

I'm not really sure how I can work out what going wrong. Voltages seem ok on the power lines.

Any Suggestions? I have very probably made an obvious error!

Try also connecting 5V to VIN on the shield. The shield's regulator might be powered from its VIN pin.

Turns out I hadn't pushed the Teensy in the Breadboard properly (what a donut!)

Also the ethernet cable didn't work.

Seems to be working now!
