Different Audio Sources

Hello Everyone,

I have been writing various programs with the FFT library while playing music from my computer. Today I plugged in my phone to play some music and there was little FFT action with the volume fully on. Bringing down the volume on my computer to 2/3 loudness produces similar effects as full volume on phone. I know this is due to my phone producing less voltage for its audio than my computer. This changes the results for a song being analyzed with FFT because its looking at wave and amplitude.

My question: Is there a way to get the teensy to handle all audio sources the same standard. I would like to have my work look the same if I play it on my computer, phone, friends phone, or DJ booth. It would be nice to accomplish this digitally but maybe it needs to be done with hardware.

Im interested in what you think,

Rex

Do a search on YouTube for "w2aew audio limiter".
Might point you in a good direction if you're electronically inclined...otherwise, it'll just mash your brain.
