Teensy LC with 2 SD cards

I am working on a design that will use Teensy LC and have two SD cards. It looks like I can just create a new instance with a separate chip select pin. Is that correct?

SDClass SD2;
SD2.begin(9); // pin D9

I've never tried this, but I suspect it may not work. There's a bunch of static stuff inside the library.
