Teensyduino Multi Channel Audio Input

Hi,

I am planning on building a project with the Teensy and Teensyduino, but I need to be able to get Audio Input from 6 channels.

I only need to get the amplitude of each source, is this possible with the Teensy 3.6? Is it just a case of plugging each input into an Analog Input and using Analog read?

data rate, precission?

Data Rate isn't really important, I just need to sample the audio amplitude in almost real time.

I'm not fully sure about precision but in the end the amplitude is going to be scaled between 0 and 127 with a maximum and minimum cut off.
