Hello
I'm replacing an existing BillValidator which is attached as serial device to a Teensy 3.2 with a new one called NV10.
Now I'm not sure whether I can attach the new one without additional circuits or not. Can some please help me?
The Serial Output of the BV is specified as "open drain":
Nothing more than a PullUp to VCC and attaching this pin to RX from Teensy required, right?
The Serial Input is specified as "PulledUp to 5v (10kO)". So the Teensy have to Sink this voltage when TX is High/0v?!
Is it acceptable to attach this pin directly to TX from Teensy and let it "sink" those 5v when TX is High (0v)?
Or do I have to use an "inverted transistor" between TX from Teensy and the NV10 device?
Here the NV10 device Circuit from the manual:
Thanks for your help.
Regards Matthias
