After doing some research, I am wondering would the MIMXRT1021CAG4A work with the Teensy bootloader chips and software? They appear to have similar specs

None of the other IMXRT chips are supported by Teensy's software or bootloader chips. If you want to go this route, BGA is the only option.

Are there any chips with a similar functionality that are not a BGA package?
