Cosmos ADC is powered from USB, so cutting the red wire is not a solution - it will not work :)
And, as the black wire is still connected, the ground loop is not eliminated.
Anyway, I ordered it and received it before the weekend.
It works perfectly, and the difference is huge - the problem was actually in the ground loops.
