    Beginner Teensy Volume issue

If you use the internal reference, the output is scaled to an internal, stable value. If you change the reference to external, it uses the AREF pin as reference. Likely that reference pin is unconnected. https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/adc.html This link gives more info about the internal/external...

    Beginner Teensy Volume issue

Most of the code looks alright. I'm not sure if it's the problem, but I would personally move the waveform1.begin function from the loop() to the setup() function. Probably that function also sets the amplitude.

    excessive ringing on WAVEFORM waves

Hi FRS, I found this article very informative, it describes how and why aliasing arises, and how to band limit waveforms to avoid it. Band limited waveforms often still have the ringing, which seem to be called the Gibbs phenomenon...

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

I'll buy a new one at ebay, in a month I know if it works with the new chip. When it arrives I will keep you updated. Thanks by the way for the help and the quick responses.

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

I tested it, the string "found this: 44 15 00 00 00 00 06 18" is the same every time I run it. The audio shield is soldered directly to the teensy. The flash chip is soldered to the audio shield.

Hi Frank, Thanks for your quick reply It's a good question, I thought of that too. The SD card was not connected when running the tests.

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

I must admit it's not quite encouraging post, but since a few days I'm having trouble with the flash chip too. I use the flash chip with the audio board. Both the eraseAll and RawHardwaretest sketches seem to fail. In both sketches I uncommented: SPI.setSCK(14); // Audio shield has SCK on...

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

I haven't seen a new version of flash_spi, the last few months. If you have some hints/code to make these two libraries play together, would you please share them?

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

Has anyone already succeeded using the new Serialflash library and play_Serialflash together? Tonight I tried, but as soon as I call Serialflash.begin, FrankB's library stops. or is there an easier way to work around this?

Can't get files on SPI flash

Hey Paul, Thanks very much for your fix! I retried to flash even more files, and it copied them all without the slightest complaint :)

Can't get files on SPI flash

Small update: The SerialFlash library still doesn't work, but the older sd2serialflash by FrankB does work. At least storage flash now works a little :) If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, I would be glad to take advice. Not having to hardcode files would be great. /* W25Q128FV Serial...

Can't get files on SPI flash

hello there, At the moment I'm having some issues using the new SPI flash library. I don't know if it's a bug, as Paul still works on the library. A few files get flashed, but not all of them. Can someone help me out? My hardware setup is: Teensy 3.1 + audio board soldered...

    Play RAW from Serial Flash

Hi there! Good news for the people who don't consider them soldering-iron heroes: last tuesday I got in the smaller winbond 25Q64B chip in dip8 package. I can confirm it almost works: The samples get verified succesfully. I can't play samples yet (last time I checked it played a noise hit). Is...

    usbMIDI not declared error

Unfortunately I didn´t get the USB Serial + MIDI working. I use a workaround, with #IFDEF USB_MIDI around midi functions. When I want to use both serial and midi, I compile it with arduino, and it works. Thanks for the tips, Paul! I'll have to try them when I continue working on my synth

    Audio Library

Sorry for the late answer, I didn't get a notification of the message :p I'm not quite sure If I have a right understanding of the question, but the code needs and uses the Audio library. I haven't changed the audio library at all, so it should work for you too. Probably the easiest is to just...

    Audio Library

@nantonos About the point of band limiting: My teensy project happens to be a virtual analog synthesizer. about wavetables: I use 14 band limited wavetables, with 1024 samples each (it fills the teensy quite fast!) Each wavetables I covers half an octave, which gives around 7 octaves. This...

[Audio library] How to get PWM output 3.3 volts p-p?

Hey there! For the synthesizer I'm building I use the PWM output of the teensy 3.1 to control the frequency of a low pass filter. The documentation of the PWM output, however, states that the Signal range is approximately 1.55 Vp-p. I want to increase this range, to get a better filter range...

    usbMIDI not declared error

Hey there! Today I tried the visual micro IDE with my sketch, but it doesn't compile. It does however, compile while using the arduino IDE. The board is a teensy 3.1, using teensyduino 1.20 and the audio library this code(which isn't my actual project) shows the problem: /* * miditest.ino...

    Audio Library

Wow, impressive work Paul! For my synth I developed my own envelope effect, now you also made one my version is probably going to retire. Audio Library

I use the algorithm in the synth_sine.cpp file to linear filter my waveforms, and it performs very well. Audio Library

@syso2342 It sounds really cool, I especially like the resonant filter. At the moment I am building a complete synthesizer, which already contains an envelope generator (which actually runs as an effect). If you want to have it I'll paste the code here or do a pull request (after I found out...

    Audio Library

What I don't get of the audio library is the AudioMemory function that is used in the examples. From the name I guess it has something to do with memory, but what is the number for? It is preceded by a comment that for usage I should look into the MemoryAndCpuUsage example, but I can't find it.

    Fast analog-digital conversion

Thanks for your answer, I will try to see if it works. In that case I will add a ringbuffer, so if the sample synthesis gets delayed, there still is a new sample to play. In another thread I read about DMA, but I don't know how that will perform when using a multiplexed analog input.

    Fast analog-digital conversion

Hey there! I am having a little trouble with my teensy 3.1 project. Hopefully my description is clear enough :) the teensy is used in a synthesizer, it generates the sound. In the loop() function, which a sound sample is computed and thensaved in a variable. An interrupt running at 40 kHz...
