    Fast USB HID switch

Thanks! How about having one teensy to implement two hosts and one teensy to implement two clients and then somehow connect them to each other? Would that work?

    Fast USB HID switch

Hi All, Looking for guidance. I am using a USB switch to connect keyboard and mouse to two different hosts. However switching takes a second or two because the USB switch disconnects from old host and reconnect to the new host every switch. My idea for a project is to have the USB switch to...

    Dance beat/rythm/tempo detector

Thank you guys! I took notes... I am interested in the beat detection for freestyle electronic music dancing. From many samples I took (dancing throughout the years...), a heap movement of up and down will normally be synced to the music beat. I am inclined just to dive in and do average of...

    Dance beat/rythm/tempo detector

Hi All, I want to create a dance beat detector. That means that I want a device that can tell the rhythm of music by observing dance movement. Notice that dancing doesn't always translate into stepping, and the foot might never leave the ground. I thought about attaching such a device to the...

Suggest next Teensy with Cortex M7

What is your take on MicoPython? I think it is stable enough and Adafruit is pushing it hard. This lowers the bar even farther. I not sure new hobbyist will bother with C.

    Sensing with Teensy 3.2

Never tried this, but I think that the AGND and AREF might help you with this. Edit: On second thought, I don't think AGND is related to the ADC, so please ignore this reply.

    Adafruit.io MQTT

This code wasn't intended to more than a prototype, that worked, so I left it as is.... The code is waiting for messages from nRF24L01 and post them to MQTT server. The most relevant piece of code that you might be interested in is: WiFiEspClient net; PubSubClient client(net); For the...

    Teensyduino 1.36 Beta #4

I know it is not related to Teensy in any way, but sometime people make the connection think that Teensy has something to do with it/ On Ubuntu and maybe on other distribution, there is a documented installation bug that will prevent the Arduino to register as an application...

    Teensyduino 1.36 Beta #4

Not much of a beta tester, but it works for me: * Ubuntu 16.04, 64bit. * Teensy LC * Using it with nRF24L01with https://github.com/nRF24/RF24 and ESP8266 with https://github.com/bportaluri/WiFiEsp and https://github.com/knolleary/pubsubclient

    Adafruit.io MQTT

An update: while working, the NodeMCU solution was very hard to use/modify. I have set to a new solution, which is much stable and do not require to flash anything on the ESP8266: Amazing library that uses AT commands to emulate a "client" library: https://github.com/bportaluri/WiFiEsp A...

    Adafruit.io MQTT

If you don't need gauntleted delivery (not that MQTT is perfect), maybe RF24L01 will fit your needs. It is way way easier. https://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/Nrf24L01-2.4GHz-HowTo

    Adafruit.io MQTT

I have used the above library with ESP8266. You would need to follow the instructions on that page. Mainly: * Load nodemcu on the 8266. * Edit the init.lua file * Upload the init.lua file to node MCU * Connect the 8266 RX and TX to Teensy's RX and TX. * Use and modify the example code from...

    Adafruit.io MQTT

I had a good success with the following solution: https://github.com/mrizvic/nodemcu-uart2mqtt I am using it to connect to a private MQTT server, but I don't see why it won't work with any other.
