    Dual channel 16bit dac PT8211

I am using a gain of 5 on both channels which probably amplifies even more this "defect".

    Dual channel 16bit dac PT8211

Silly me! Using quad packages for the amp are not a good idea if you want good seperation between the 2 channels. I switched the TL074 for 2 TL072 and the crosstalk is completely gone. I learnt that lesson!

    Dual channel 16bit dac PT8211

I have a hardware question/issue with the PT8211. I got it to work and playing audio files from a sd card, sounds good. But I am experiencing a lot of "bleeding" from one channel to the other. I mean for instance, I can hear the left channel in the right channel, when the right channel is...

Teensy LC and IntervalTimer - working proprely ?

Hi, I read on the IntervalTimer page that it's working only on Teensy 3.0. It seems that I can begin the function but I can't end it with .end(). Is this a known issue ? I am building en enveloppe generator for a modular synth. I am testing now with a switch, when I press the switch I start...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

by updating only 1/4th of the screen at the same time, I got the timing down to 4ms. I added a another variable to the .display() function, a line variable, so I can choose where I want to start displaying, I also divided by 4 the amount of data being sent. changes in the library .ccp file...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

Thanks for the new input. I modified the code to update the screen only when something changed. And things are going great, almost perfect.

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

Fantastic. I did that, so removed TWBR definition from the Adafruit_SSD1306.cpp file. And added Wire.setClock(1000000);, AT THE VERY END of the setup (). When I placed it just after Wire.begin() at the beginning of my setup it didn't helped. I guess some definition somewhere in the setup were...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

Making some progress! When I tried to use the Adafruit SSD1306 with the i2c_t3 library I commented the TWBR = 12; definition, in order to be able to compile it. I was using as start up code : Wire.begin(I2C_MASTER, 0x00, I2C_PINS_18_19, I2C_PULLUP_EXT, I2C_RATE_400, I2C_OP_MODE_DMA); Now I...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

other interesting thing, according to this thread from 2012 : https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=29918 Updating a SSSD1306 via I2C should take 54ms (so 54000micros) on Leonardo at 8Mhz. Altough the I2c timing is still 400hz I could still expect shorter timings due to the Teensy...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

    The timing is : 109200 microseconds! This is what I get on the serial monitor with this code elapsedMicros since_screen = 0; display.clearDisplay(); display.setCursor(0, 0); display.println("test"); display.display(); Serial.println(since_screen); When I comment this line ...

    I2C nightmare (Teensy 3 + MCP23017 + SSD1306 + tca9548)

Hi guys, I am really getting hopeless here… The project in a nutsheel: - 8 rotary encoders via a MCP2307 -> using interrups pins - 8 SSD1306 OLED screens (with all the same adresses) via TCA9548A I2C mux The teensy + MCP2307 + TCA9548A are placed on a central “brain” board and the encoder +...

    USB-MIDI freezing with El Capitan

Hi, I have experienced problems using a teensy LC-based MIDI controller I am building. As soon as the OS (El Capitan) is fully booted, the teensy seems to be frozen, no reaction to inputs or outputs whatsoever. But just when it gets power from the computer before El Capitan is fully booted...

    MIDI library and Teensy LC

Hi! I am planning to use the traditionnal non-usb library with the TeensyLC. https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_libs_MIDI.html I am wondering which parameters of the circuit are changing for the LC ? It uses the RX&TX pins, so on the LC pin 0 & pin 1 I suppose ? For the output, should I also get...

My vintage-styled USB-MIDI controllers for software synth plugins (sound-force.nl)

Do it! it's great fun. Good one about the pitch bend messages. Some DAW forces certain MIDI messages to certain DAW parameters. I would have to check if the pitch bend would not be automatically send to the plugin or track pitch bend... It probably would. Logic would not let me use messages and...

    Standalone Microcontroller

    Change device name

I've noticed something strange. After changing the MIDI device name on Teensy's 3.1, it doesn't load the sketches properly anymore. It requires to press the reset button everytime when uploading. Anybody experienced that before ? Any idea how to avoid that ?

Teensy Audio Adapter free pins (when not using the SD card)

Hi guys, Does anybody know if I can re-claim the SCLK and MOS pins, pins 4 and 7, if I am not using the SD slot for playback audio ? I'd need them for muxes and shift registers. Are there any other pins on the audio adapter that are optional or that could be share with the audio adapter ...

Teensy 3.1 USB connection on a project PCB with USB-B connector

Hi everybody, I am working on a MIDI controller project with the Teensy 3.1. I'd like users to connect to the controller into a sturdy USB-B connector like most commercial products. I don't want to have to connect the small micro USB right into the computer. So I need to bridge the micro usb...

Teensy 3.1 + 4051 and ground (GND or AGND?)

Teensy 3.1 + 4051 and ground (GND or AGND?)

Hi guys! I am using about 3 CD74HC4051 chips for a MIDI controller project. There seems to be quite some noise at the inputs of the ADC. I have to filter a lot to stabilize the signals (i am not registering any changes under 20 - on the scale from 0 to 1023). I realized I connected all the...
