    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

When I ran it purely in the Arduino IDE, it updated the time accordingly. I wonder if I used gcc via command line to build, then uploaded another manner if the time would update as well? At any rate, yeah. With Visual Micro, this will not work. Pure Arduino IDE, and it works like a champ!

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

Thanks Paul. I use Visual studio with a plugin that calls the arduino compiler. It must not use the same linker however. I'll have to remember that if I need to set an on-board RTC using compile-time, I have to use the Arduino IDE. Thanks for the information there. I appreciate it for sure...

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

Hi Paul, I have had an opportunity to revisit this, Removed the battery for about a week, and just uploaded a newly compiled build. The output is as follows: Am I reading from the wrong RTC? #include <Time\TimeLib.h> const int ledPin = 13; // The number of the LED pin int...

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

Guilty Paul. Apologies for that. The compile time is not working on my 3.6 with a battery on it. No matter what IDE I use. That is where my confusion stems from. The screenshot I posted is from this PC, using Teensyduino 1.4, and Arduino IDE 1.8.5. It did not set the time properly. Sincere...

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

It doesn't work properly. There is a bit that is set based on the RTC (I'll see if I can find it). Unfortunately, the compile-time RTC-set for the teensy does not work and Paul said it's a low priority. The only way to set the on-board RTC is via code. That is, hard-coded to a time that gets...

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

There was a point that I was looking for a way to have Visual Studio send that time. I had found where the check was done in the teensy base code, and thought it would be a great way to check the RTC for sanity using the PC time (or whatever it's being compiled on), then either set it to the...

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

Thanks Paul for that explanation. It makes a lot more sense now. Do you know what the expected time loss is over time? 2 minutes seems a bit extreme for just a few months of running on the CR2032.

    Teensy3Time.ino updates wrong time ...

So, I decided to experiment with this using a Teensy 3.6 that I set the time on about 6 months ago using the serial port (It has a CR2032 on it for the RTC). It shoes that the time was not updated to the compile time, as the reported time from the RTC is an hour off (Time was set during EDT)...

Ia anyone using the Fusion dual can shields or GPS shield

Greatly appreciated Fyod. I'll order up an active antenna and see what kind of results I get. I appreciate the support post-purchase and it's because of this that you will always be my go-to when it comes to modules for the Teensy such as this.

3D Printer Software with Teensy 3.1

Any time I am at Micro Center, I pick a few up. I also seem to like to order them late at night when I think I need 2 or 3 more for some random project that seems like a great idea at 2am. They are fantastic though and I simply love working with them. Haven't melted one yet either!

3D Printer Software with Teensy 3.1

I am adding a comment here as I have a delta 3D printer that would benefit greatly from a more powerful processor than the 2580. I have a dozen or so 3.6, another dozen 3.5, and countless LC and 3.2 Teensy (Teensies?) here. I cloned Paul's repo from 4 years ago, but I think I need to search this...

Ia anyone using the Fusion dual can shields or GPS shield

Going on an hour now after a reset and no satellites showing locked. The time updated to the proper date and time though, so there's that. What are the use-case scenarios for this shield with a passive antenna? What are the options for an active antenna? None for me, I assume since I had to...

Ia anyone using the Fusion dual can shields or GPS shield

Is there a better, perhaps amplified antenna you would suggest? I created a timer and whenever there is a power-down event, it's taking well over 5 minutes to even lock 3 satellites. The intention was to use this for speedometer, but starting the vehicle 10 minutes before it's to be driven is...

Got it. Thanks Fyod for the support. I desoldered the wrong SMD.. then removed the correct one, soldered the one I removed back on, and gave it about 5 minutes. 12 locked satellites, position fix, and I guess my desk is moving at 1.06 kph! hahaha. Greatly appreciate the messages! Glad it's...

It seems to work here without issue. This is a screen cap of the extended broadcast using your provided code. The only change I made was to the DEFAULTID. I set it to 0x131 rather than 0, but it works the same with a 0 value for the DEFAULTID

    teensy not so teensy?

I would gladly pay a markup for the level of interaction that Paul has with his customers. There is a limit to that, however. I believe the Teensy, all things considered, is a value. I have multiple debuggers and the ability to use more or less any micro, and I choose Teensy every time. The...

Teensy 3.5/3.6 Breakout board to test things with.

Wow. these look amazing. My experience with PCB design is severely lacking, but I would love to give one of these a try. I am building a complete CAN-based solution for a race vehicle (CAN modules in place of analog sensors). Right now, it's a Charlie Foxtrot of wiring and a horrible layout...

True. Alternatively, another boolean in the struct for hasEnded would resolve the issue with determining a threadFinished state. I did compile that on a 3.5, the byte count was the result of sizeof(threads); This is certainly something I am highly interested in as all through college, I was...

    12V 26mm Node Display (4.4m x 1.1 meters)

As long as you do not backfeed 12V into the octo/teensy, you are fine. They will only have a shared ground (for signal stability), but the teensy/octo will be powered by 5V and the LEDs will be powered by 12V. Only the grounds will be common.

Teensy 3.x multithreading library first release

In these instances where 4 threads are used, there are actually 8 allocated, so does this not create additional overhead that could be alleviated by a linked list that creates the number of needed threads and not additional? I am just considering things here as the comment posted here from the...

Teensy 3.x multithreading library first release

There was mention in the code of making the thread pool more dynamic. The static allocation of 8 threads when really only 3 are necessary seems a bit overkill. I assumed since the comments were made at the code-level that there was a refactoring to a linked list, it was something that was...

    RA8875 library

I know this is a partially old thread, and I might get chastised for bumping it, but I am ready! That being said, Are there plans to add support for the expanded constructors for the 3.5 and 3.6? Should I add them and toss in a merge/pull request?

Fernando, Have you given any more thought to refactoring the library to use a linked list? I've started some preliminary data structures for the linked list, and I wouldn't mind helping out where I can with this.

    Another fork of FlexCAN

If you are using flexCAN by ColinK, then it will need more work as this is not a J1939 standard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_15765-2 This is possible with the current library. It would take some work on your part in your overridden gotFrame() method as the first frame (frame.buf[0])...

    Teensy 3.5 with Adafruit 32x32 (607)

Wouldn't there be a potential issue with this: I think the 3.6 is 3.3V logic. I know I had issues with my WS2812, so I ordered a couple Octo boards from PJRC (Super fast shipping) and it smoothed out any issues I had related to logic levels.

Took some time this morning to sort it out. It's working now. #include <stdint.h> //#include <utility> That's all it needed. The inclusion of that extra header broke it all. Removed utility and everything works perfectly. Again, I greatly appreciate all the input here.
