Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

Yeah the Rev D works if I remember correctly, just the back end of the 4.1 hangs over the top seeing at it has more pins. Nothing additional is needed compared to the 4.0, just I created a PCB to mount everything to, including a switch and a micro USB that powered only. Also reduces wiring...

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

Personally, the way i removed the ticking noise from my audio clips was to change to a Teensy 4.1 and use the onboard SD card reader, was much better and super smooth. I also made my own PCB to mount everything to, so the only manual wiring was from handset to screw terminal. Happy to share...

My god... you are a life saver. This worked so well for me now. Thank you so much! Just moved to a Teensy 4.1 + Audio Rev D board and have mounted this to a custom PCB I designed through EasyEDA. The result is perfect crisp audio on the recordings, even when using a laptop USB port as the power...

So the best thing to rectify is to keep trying different files? Audacity still a good program to do this with?

Thanks. I’ll try and get something. I’ll try the renaming first. It’s very odd… not sure why it’s not working suddenly. Previously used audacity to edit .raw to .wav now I’m going from .mp3 to .wav and it’s not working. Weird. What is PCs? Personal computer? Or a package?

Sorry to bother. But any idea why the greetings might not be playing? They’re called greeting.wav and 16bit pcm signed?

Amazing. Thanks for the advice and suggestions. Also, the previous version I used (from about a year ago(?)) was great, this latest firmware code is astounding. I’m so impressed with the improvements that have been made - it’s incredible! Thank you for all the hard work.

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

hi all, been through a lot of the documentation and still got a few issues. Im running IDE 2.2.1, but unable to set the number of blocks to 256. The option is not displayed in the tools menu, and I have added the boards.local.txt to the teensy location (confirmed using properties of the...

okay. so my power supply that im using is a 2 wire USB cable, that I have cut and soldered together inside the phone to use the existing RJ port as a sort of "way in". When i power the phone using a laptop as USB power source, there is a minimal amount of humming / buzz - not noticeable at all...

Are you still getting buzzing? How are you connecting the mic wiring to the wiring on the audio board?

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

Finally sorted my buzzing issue. And it’s such a simple fix I’m annoyed I got stressed and didn’t try it sooner. I had installed some wiring to the existing mic lines and soldered and heat shrunk additional wiring. When I did this, I soldered the wire directly to headers on the audio board -...

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

eugh... this is becoming a frustration. I'm still unable to eliminate the buzzing completely... I have removed excess wiring, twisted the cabling and re-soldered joints to ensure it's as good as can be. The only thing i havent done is use jumper cabling on the mic input pins - i have soldered...

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

Still struggling with getting rid of the buzzing. Thinking of reducing the wiring down to minimum length. Where else could i likely be having an issue? I doubt my solder joints are causing the problem? Is it likely to be from the power supply i am using? (i just cut an old micro USB cable and...

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

Hi. Thanks for the reply - much appreciated. I have twisted the wiring and it has improved somewhat so thanks for the suggestion. There is still a slight humming - wondering if it’s from the solder connection between old wiring and new wires (to allow for a bit of easier tinkering). I’ve never...

Teensy 4.0 - based Audio Guestbook

So I have had the same problem - I switched the wiring around on the inputs and I still get a slight buzz / hum , albeit no where near as bad as it was. Not sure if i'm missing something else to try, but it would be great to eliminate completely, don't suppose you have any ideas? Thanks in advance
