Teensy based synths at Synth Fest France

Hello, Synth Fest France will take place in France / Orvault (near Nantes) on 11, 12 and 13 April 2025. I have booked a booth there to present my Teensy4.1 and axoloti based DIY synths. I'll be glad to meet other Teensy builders there. This is a very nice event for synth enthusiasts... DiY...

Noise Issue with Teensy 4.1, Audio Shield, and PAM8403 Amplifier

To avoid inrush problems, i use the 5V from the usbHost on the Teensy4.1. I wait half a second before activating the usbHost. I use it like a controllable power rail. (Which is possible on the 4.1 but i don’t think it’s possible on the 4.0) I use a quite similar power rail filter (100uF 5uH...

    Teensy4.1 based "Transdimensional Synthesizer"

I received my Teensy Audio Adaptor Saturday... I experimented with it today. I added the I2C SGTL5000 control to enable it and to set Volume to 1 (version alpha002). This Audio Adaptor sounds really great at 96kHz !

    Teensy4.1 based "Transdimensional Synthesizer"

I did not tried it yet with the pjrc audio adaptor. I’ve just ordered one from a retailer. I will test it as soon as i get it. Thanks to everyone that helped me to understand how powerful the Teensy4.1 can be.

    Teensy4.1 based "Transdimensional Synthesizer"

Transdimensional is a fancy name for a way to simplify the use of very complicated synthesis algorithm. It is a kind of morphing that takes care of navigating through the synthesis parameter hyperspace. This first synth navigates in a 54 dimension hyperspace (including FM, waveshaping and...

Mix 96K ADC and 192K DAC

About the pulse duty cycle, as far as i see the code, the duty cycle is updated at block rate. Maybe if the blocks are big and the duty cycle changes too fast it may cause these glitches.

How do I clear old text when printing text on ILI9341?

I also used the trick of overwritting a text with a the same text with background color. With anti aliased fonts this results in a ghostly halo around the erased characters. This is because of the semi transparent anti aliasing pixels in the periphery of the characters... they only partially...

Audio clicks when changing mixer gain too fast

Anti click should be implemented in the mixer itself. The goal is to avoid discontinuities. - Slow/Smooth update of the gain. - allow instantaneous update of the gain on signal zero crossings. I think that's the best way to have fast and click free gain modulations.
