ADC Teensy 4

Hello, I've created a program that uses the Teensy and an audio shield to recognize an alarm from a medical device. The sound signal goes through a microphone, then into the shield and the Teensy. However, I would like to remove the audio shield and use the ADC of the Teensy. I don't know how to send and process the signal with the Teensy without an audio shield. Can you help me please ?

Hello, welcome, Are you using Teensy 4.0 or other. Teensy 4.0 is MQS audio out
Is it standard audio shield connected via I2S
Is the mic I2S.......
A circuit diagram or photo would help.
