Anyone tried to use the Teensy audio board with M8 tracker headless?

I am experimenting with M8 Tracker headless, and I started to use it on Windows, before moving to a RPI as host for the UI.

Problem is, I hear no audio. I connected a Teensy audio board, and it seems to emit a pitch when I play sounds from the internal synth engines, but nothing more than that.
Is that because the M8 code does not address audio output on the teensy audio board? I tried to get the audio from Windows too but I get no audio either, so not sure if I got something wrong at this point, so I thought it is better to stop and ask here :)
Anyone use M8 headless and use also a Teensy audio board? If so, what did you do?

So interesting enough, I found that it seems that something shut down the audio signal once you set the firmware once. I had audio working fine with the audio board and the demo sketches from Arduino IDE; and it worked when I flashed M8 tracker on the board; but once you power it down and power it back up, audio is disabled.

Not sure if this is something on purpose; as it is my understanding that the person that made the M8 tracker device is not interested in allowing people to make their own devices (the firmware source is not even available; and after firmware 2.0 midi out is not working on the Teensy pins anymore but only via USB). Too bad as this means that there is more work to do to figure things out, for the folks that are not interested in buying a pre-made device.

Is there some sort of unspoken rule that stop makers to share anything related to this project? Just so I know if I should keep asking questions here or move to more underground places.

Did you ever get any luck on this? Seems silly that the guy behind this gatekeeper folks that would like to build their own, at no loss to them either as there’s zero chance of me paying $600 usd for one, I’d even be happy to pay for the code
