Hello everyone on this forum.

I have been asked to help an artist to make lightning to 300 or more ceramic flowers. She wants the flowers to have a wave looking moving lightning (like fields of corn in the wind). She also want's a group of them to fade down when people come to close to that area (to somehow shows that people can hurt mother nature).

I have bought:
1000 ws2812B led pixels
3 Teensy 3.1
2 Octows2811 board
1 Fadecandy
And some equalizer IC and other sensors.

I have very little programming experienced but slowly starts to learn. I have tried a lot of the great examples, but rely hope someone can give me a push in the right direction. I can't find examples combining sensors and fadecandy/octows2811. The reason I was asked it's not because I'm so great, but because I doing it for free and I love to learn by doing project like this!

I also wan't it to "wave" to music.

Interesting project.
How big (tall) are these flowers and how and where on the flower are you going to mount the LED ?
What grid size or pattern are these Flowers going to be arranged in or in other words whats the average distance between each flower ?

The room is 12*7 meters and the flowers will be in the middle of the room. The ceramic flowers are 20-25cm in diameter. I will get a drawing from May (the artist) later today. In the picture you can see the first prototype flowers from the oven.
