Device recommendation to control a USB sharing switch.

Hi All - I just discovered Teensy's and think one might help with a control project. I have a 4-to-4 USB 3.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch (HBS304A24A) that cycles through connected computers using a physical press button. I want to replace the switch with a device that can listen on one of the usb ports to receive and respond to simple commands.

I want to:
1) use a USB-A connected keyboard initiated shell script to send an instruction to a usb connected (listening) device.
2) have the usb listening device receive the command.
3) have the usb listening device compare 4 digital pin states.
4) have the usb listening device operate a switch until the script commanded pin state is achieved.
5) have the usb listening device wait for next commend on the newly connected computer.
6) use the minimum practical operating frequency & power consumption.

Can anyone suggest an appropriate Teensy?
Thanks - Nulll.

Challenge with USB switches: When the switch physically disconnects from the PC, the USB connection to the Teensy drops. As soon as the switch toggles to the target PC, the operating system re-establishes the virtual serial interface. The Teensy's software must therefore be able to handle this temporary interruption of the USB connection.
