External usb connector to teensy 4.1 ??

My teensy 4.1 is covered in case . i want to add external micro usb connector to board to power the board and program the board ..as i read in reference page shows

can i connect my usb connector as beolw to program board ???

what is matter about cut between E and F point in below pic

if my connection are right ., Do i need to cut between E and F point ???

I use <this> to add a microUSB socket to the outside of my case for programming/MIDI/serial/USBaudio on several of my Teensy projects. Works very well !!
