Looking for some guidance for a simple audio player

I play live music professionally, and I'm looking to build a simple module that I can use to play break music between my sets. Looking for advice on which models/adaptor boards would be the best fit. These are the specs/requirements I'd like to achieve:
  • Powered by usb-c
  • 3.5mm stereo output
  • SD card to load a playlist of (ideally) MP3, or WAV files on
  • Upon power-on, begins playing a random song from the SD card, at 0 volume.
  • Once a hardware momentary button is pressed, volume would fade in (this would be achieved through software)
  • Pressing the button again would fade music out
  • 3.5mm output would be going into an aux-in jack, either on my powered speaker, or to a channel on my mixer, so I'd need line level output??
Looking for light, compact, reliable, rugged. I'll 3dh print a sturdy enclosure for it. Suggestions? Could the Teensy 4.1 do this without the audio adapter? Or would the 4.0 + audio adapter be a better solution? Suggestions for powering it from usb-c?

Thanks!
