Hi forum,
I am currently evaluate boards for a new project and also have seen the MicroMod from SFun as an interesting alternative to Teensy. Beside the quality issues discussed elsewhere in this forum I am in doubt regarding USB layout of the ATP carrier board. There are only two layers standard PCB, USB length is something of 20..30 mm and seems not to be impedance matched. I mean we talk about speed of 480 MBit/s.
I am not sure about the situation on the MicroMod board itself, looks better to me as it has 4 layers.
Generally speaking I miss the typical TVS protection and common mode choke often seen on USB data lines.
Can anyone with layout design experience share its thoughts and how is the experience regarding USB stability in the field?
Best regards,
Sven
