Wow, @ptorrone you really should have made your final post linking to adafruit forums before its too late, but I doubt you'll want anyone you convinced to be on your side to read any of this.

After reading this whole thread (I only learned about two hours ago, this drama was linked on a theregister.co.uk forum) I am not surprised you failed to take the very loud hints right up to the last minute. If you had stopped early (after your second post perhaps), I would have assumed I did not know the whole picture. But your behavior makes it seem highly likely that SparkFun had to stop working with you, because of you. You clearly, very clearly, only came here to attempt to rally people to your side and use that to pressure others. Most of your posts were cringey, especially after you made completely unsupportable claims and then issued non-mea culpas. Yikes. I've had two kids, and two weeks in, yeah, the sleep deprivation and anxiety and general chaos are sanity-testing. A month in is generally not anywhere nearly so much, yeah, everyone's different, every kid is different, but taken in light of all the other "I'm a victim here and here and here" stuff, I just assume its another manipulative attempt to get just one iota of support. Its not coming and you are actively cementing a strongly bad negative image for adafruit. You have very little time to issue a _real_ mea culpa, get off your high horse and move on.

I'd always liked Adafruit and I love what Limor has done. But you sound like a nightmare to deal with, and really, members post pics of their projects here, not their family (exceptions for pets).

Quick reminder, this thread will close Monday, January 19. Duplicate threads are not allowed.

Phil, twice I have asked (msg #153 and msg #160) for you to create a thread on your own forum to continue this conversation. If this really has been about transparency and all the other things you've claimed, rather than much less noble objectives it plainly seems to be, I would imagine you would be eager to facilitate this conversation on your own forum. But whether or not you create a place on your own forum for this conversation to continue, after Monday it will not continue here.

We will wait until at least 5pm US Eastern (Adafruit's time zone) before closing. We've all heard about caring for the newborn baby. Even though Phil has found time this weekend to reply on this thread and another, I want to allow one more full business day before permanently closing this conversation.

The clear consensus of our community is this has become at best a distraction. Many people here are quite annoyed. This situation is not sustainable and will not continue past Monday.

Just a quick note before this thread is locked and in case Phil does not reply by the cut off:
If you're curious, there is no thread on their forum. I just checked. There may be posts elsewhere but on their own forum, there are zero threads about this subject. So, unless one is created in less than 24 hours, you aren't going to find one if you go looking. This thread and the one at EEV are probably the most active and this will be closed so, if you love arguing, I recommend the EEV thread. That's likely about the only place it'll be any longer. There's a link in this thread to that other one. But, as for me, I intend to merely move on with my life.

In the end, I find that the fact that the different contributions of @ptorrone to this and EEV forum (the ones I looked up) seem to be cut-and paste and all the personal details presented that better should be kept private, all this smells for me more an attempt to spread the AF-SF drama, and not an invitation to a technical discussion. If it were only about technical details, there would be a thread in AF forum, maybe with a short note here and on EEV to invite peoples to participate.

Time has come to close this conversation, which has gone far past unproductive to the level of disrupting this community.

Duplicate threads of this or any substantially similar topic are not allowed.

I had hoped Phil would create a space on Adafruit's forum to continue this conversation, so the final message could link to the proper place to continue commenting. But no such link has been given.
