Program accidentally erased?

Do you know if the sudden blink restore happened while the system was already working, or, perhaps on power up?
I wasn't there when it happened. The description of what happened from my colleague was that it was working normally, he issued commands to it over the USB serial port, and the Teensy stopped responding. He tried rebooting it and saw the blinking light. I don't know if it happened at the point where the program apparently crashed while using it, or at the reboot.

So it crashed or reset (not sure which) mid-run? Previous commands worked, then one just didn't, without a reboot in between?

Yes, the program was working. Suddenly it wasn't. Part of his debugging process was to power cycle everything, and after that he noticed the blinking light. It's possible that was happening before the reboot, but I don't know.

Sorry I'm coming late this this conversation. I caught a nasty cold last week, just now starting to get back to normal.

Something definitely is going wrong. At this early point, I mainly just want to confirm this is now on my high priority issue list.

If anyone sees the problem again, making a note of which LED was blinking (orange is near the pushbutton, red is near the USB connector) before and after, and whether LED blinking in any sort of pattern or just a forever repeating slow blink would be helpful info.

Sorry for my late reply. My memory of seeing this is that it was the orange light near the button and that it was blinking at around a 1 second cadence. That's about all I can say. Hope that helps narrow it down a little.
