This is a derivative of the PD0LEW design, using a Teensy 3.6. This version uses an RA8875 display and has been a real pain in the rear to program it! I had some help interference from various AI services that mostly led me astray, but eventually I have a working receive section. Sadly the PD0LEW software doesn't seem to have a transmit routine, not even a keyboard read, so that it something to do once the hardware is completed.

Cabinet is a commercial one, of which only the skeleton and cover is used. Everything else is 3D printed after being modelled in Fusion. Some of the 3D models had to be created from scratch or amalgam of other models, such as the stacked Teensy.

Here are some photos of the prototype working and the modelling work...

Interesting. Good luck. Was USB_Host pulled out under Audio shield for Teensy to add the keyboard?

I am using the PS/2 keyboard for now, but I have made provision for playing with USB. There is a "breakout" which terminates in pins at the edge of the PCB for all the optional connections.

I am now going to design it for the Teensy 4.1. I do have a few issues to solve on the 3.6 version first, the pressing one being that the keyboard (Ps/2) input seems to die after a sentence of more than a few characters. The Teensy continues to run and functions as normal, there is just no response from further keyboard entry unless reset.

I have found a number of PCB errors too.

Good luck.
I looked to find more ingo and joined the group.io ... missed the right spot? New ke2eky and lots of directions and distractions ...
