Shopping cart issue

Hi Paul,

I'm having a problem trying to place an order through the shopping cart.

Once I click place order I keep getting the following error:-

Fatal error: Uncaught RuntimeException: cURL error during making API call. cURL Error Number:[6] with error:[Could not resolve host: oauth.platform.intuit.com] in /usr/local/pjrc/cart/vendor/quickbooks/payments-sdk/src/HttpClients/core/HttpCurlClient.php:73 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/pjrc/cart/vendor/quickbooks/payments-sdk/src/HttpClients/core/HttpCurlClient.php(54): QuickBooksOnline\Payments\HttpClients\core\HttpCurlClient->handleCurlErrors() #1 /usr/local/pjrc/cart/vendor/quickbooks/payments-sdk/src/PaymentClient.php(75): QuickBooksOnline\Payments\HttpClients\core\HttpCurlClient->send() #2 /usr/local/pjrc/cart/cart.php(1711): QuickBooksOnline\Payments\PaymentClient->send() #3 /usr/local/pjrc/cart/cart.php(1286): quickbook_access_token() #4 /usr/local/pjrc/cart/cart.php(88): process_form_submit() #5 {main} thrown in /usr/local/pjrc/cart/vendor/quickbooks/payments-sdk/src/HttpClients/core/HttpCurlClient.php on line 73

Can you have a look and help me to resolve this, so I can get my order through?

Edit: adding that shipping is to the UK with expidited delivery, will this be a problem now with the new tarriffs?

Thanks,

Chris

Please give it another try. Maybe wait a little while, then try again.

This error is some sort of cloud service problem with the credit card processing company we use. They are supposed to have servers all over the world to process transactions. Their server name automatically gets resolved to server physically close to your location. At least that's how it should work. But lately it has been giving these errors. It usually always starts working again within hours or the next day.

To be honest, this sort of error is deeply disappointing from a company like Intuit. We're planning to switch to another service soon.

For right now, the only solution is just to try again. It almost always works after a short time, once their cloud service name server updates.

I saw a similar error report yesterday when I placed my order, but I also got notification from my CC company that the expected charge had made to my CC, so I assumed that the order was correctly processed & placed.

If you got an error and didn't get the 6 digit order number, odds are only the first part of the transaction went through where the funds are reserved. Without an order, we can't actually turn it into an actual charge. The reserved funds will automatically cancel after 1 week.

If you did get the 6 digit order but it doesn't ship today, please email and I'll look into it.

I, too, successfully placed an order this morning. After several additional failed attempts, the final attempt resulted in a 6-digit order number being reported. Thanks @PaulStoffregen for the updated info & the clarification.

My first check out attempt gave a long fail string as well - maybe like p#1 - clip gone now.
Backed up and item in cart and worked on second attempt.
