Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the latest talkie library that would work on a teensy 4.x?

IIRC it was edited after the T_4.x's released and should still be working in current Teensyduino.

That is very true. I also believe that the latest Talkie office lib was updated for the Teensy 4x but I personally never tested it only whats in teensyduino.

Just chiming in to mention that you might be interested in using the espeak-ng library for TTS. It’s much more powerful than Talkie.
I’ve just made a port that runs on the T4/4.1: https://github.com/vindar/espeak-ng_T4/

It has this ~360 word Talkie VOCAB - project is licensed MIT but this file (and the 156KB .c data file) is GPLv2 - updated 'last week'?

Actually we were playing with these ch32 riscv chips and I had the talkie library running on it. Didn't come across this though when I was playing with it. Have to look more
