Teensy 2.0 voltage and power

I have had good success with teensy 3.1 for this project, but I am now considering using teensy 2.0 because I need 1) low power during sleep and 2) auto shut off. From the forum I think the teensy 2.0 is better supported with regard to sleep routines. The power of teensy 2.0 is plenty for me. I am running off Lipo but I want to shut the regulator down when time exceeds the sleep time. It can then only be woken up by power reset. I want to use a MCP1825 (5pin) with the shutdown pin. I can then control the shutdown from the T2. The reg gives 3.3V. Can I just put this into the 5V pin on the T2 ? It does not seem clear even after extensive reading on the forum. I do not want to put the 3.3V reg on the T2 as decribed as I will have external 3.3V. There is no internal regulator in the T2 (unlike T3) ? Also I am communicating over I2C to a 3.3V device. It works fine with T3. Will it work with T2 ? It would be nice to see some schematics to see how everything is wired, but then the Chinese will rip Paul off ! Maybe we could execute a non-disclosure ?

Help anyone ?
