Hi Frank!
Thank you so much for the clarification.
I read about setting up the AGC before that, and I did it all, but alas ....
I see that this is not a matter of the settings AGC, since no manipulations in the menu (except AGC) should affect the AGC parameters.
I’m not sure if I have the latest version of the software - Wolfgang earlier helped me with the compilation of the source code for two options of the reference frequency Si5351 - 25 and 27 Mhz. For which he thanks a lot!
And even they work differently .... In the 25 MHz version, the auto calibration passes every time, and in the 27 MHz version - not always ....
It is quite possible that the effect I have noticed is manifested when using large antennas with large levels of received signals - more than 9 points on the S-meter scale (for example: -60 dbm or less).
To increase the popularity of the project, can you download the compiled * .hex files of all (and new) software versions somewhere? With corrections and upgrades ....
Unfortunately, not all are well able to work with source codes in view of their low competence in programming and, even, age .... I, too, am more "an expert"
in hardware than in software ...
Frank, and in order to compare our versions of the software, can you send me your compiled file for the 25 MHz reference frequency to my e-mail address? Or here, if possible ....
Then I can check the version of firmware I’m using...
