Will this combination work?
I have several Yun (Yún)'s and need Arduino IDE 1.5.4 or 1.5.5. Paul has said that when I open up his Teensyduino, Version 1.18, and begin installing, it will allow "next" button when it points to a directory where "where you extracted the Arduino Software".
He doesn't say where that typically is and he doesn't say whether I need an earlier version of the IDE or if 1.5.5 will work.
So... If I download raw stuff to /Downloads and unzip there (to a new directory /Downloads/Arduino), then run the installer there, or drag to the applications folder, which of those does he mean?
And what is the "acceptable" IDE version that 1.18 is compatible with???
(And how do I state, gently, that his installation page could use a little more clarity???)
Thanks for any suggestions.
Or... And, I have to run an EARLIER version of the IDE, is it possible to have both concurrent on a MAC? Would I need two Source code directories? /Documents/Arduino.old and /Documemts/Arduino?
