USB-C with teensy 4.1- connector distance

Hello,
I would like to add a usbC connector to the pcb I am designing around a teensy 4.1.
Where normally you might have the teensy’s usb connector on the edge of a pcb to access it through an enclosure, I’d like to spin the teensy around and have the SD card on the pcb edge. And then add a usb C connector next to it.
I’ve found a lot of useful information on pogo pins etc, but I’m wondering:
Is the distance equal to the length of a teensy too far away to place the usbC connector?

Not at all, I’ve placed one at least 6 inches away before and I had an export error that made me unable to use the PCB traces so I had to use hookup wire for those 6 inches to the connector. The signal integrity seems pretty lenient in my case since I don’t believe I even twisted the wires together, just taped them down with kapton tape.

Perhaps you got lucky with the conductor spacing - twisted pair with characteristic impedance of 100 ohms isn't hard to achieve, just use pairs from a CAT5 or CAT6 cable.
