Hi everyone,
I'm designing a custom rocket flight computer using the MIMXRT1062DVL6B (same MCU as Teensy 4.0). The board includes sensors like the BNO086, BMP581, BME680, PCA9685, NEO-M9N, and an SD card module. I'm following the Teensy 4.0 schematic closely to maintain compatibility.
The original Teensy uses a W25Q16JVUXIM SPI flash, but it’s hard to find. I’m considering the W25Q16JVSSIM instead, which has the same capacity and command set but comes in an SOIC-8 package that’s easier to solder. Before committing, I’d like to know if anyone has used this chip successfully with Teensy 4.0. Are there any issues with timing, performance, or electrical compatibility when switching from USON to SOIC?
Appreciate any advice, thanks!
