Hi There, Paul, Robin!

I recently came across your website, and I think I found the Exact product I am looking for.

After looking over your website thoroughly I cannot find the actual weight of the teensy 3.0 unit.
I understand that it's Very light, but would you be able to weigh the actual board?
So far, the chopper I want to buy is able to have a payload of 400 grams.
if I have the weight, I can start the rough idea of the planning phase of my project.

Also, I saw in the forums, about an add on board for motor drivers/servo motors.
But I cannot find the actual devices/product, Are you able to direct me there?

Also, any information on attaching a blue-tooth module?
I see the Xbee module, but I am looking for something longer range and higher data rate.

If you have any other idea's on wireless data communications on the Teensy 3.0 board, with very minimal weight and
power draw, please do tell. Yes, I completely understand that this is a tall order!

Thanks for your time!

MikeK

it.. really really light 1 to 0.5 grams... "i'm guessing"
But weight will increase as you add solder joints or even headers.
Or as I like to call it the LEAD Zeppelin effect.

My board weighs 2.9542g ;)

I measured 0.105 ounce. With pins soldered, it measures 0.170 ounce. My scale is about 15 years old and has never been recalibrated or verified for accuracy (it's mainly used as a "counting scale"), but this is pretty close to Ben's measurement. :)

The only bluetooth module I've tried was a very cheap one with the antenna on the edge of the PCB. It worked at a relatively slow baud rate, but I just used it for a button to remotely to trigger a project (which happened to be a Burning Man art installation with 8 large fire poofers).

Several people have mentioned much higher performance bluetooth projects here. I recall seeing one at nearly 1 Mbit/sec. If you search or start a new thread asking only about bluetooth, maybe you'll get some good input? I'm afraid I can't help much more than that... I do have a small box of bluetooth modules sitting here to try someday, when I have more time. At the rate things have been going, I may never get around to using them.
