Yeah... so... this is why I need to stop ordering PCBs at 4 AM... Now that I see it, I know exactly why I made this mistake too! I think I'll keep the flex cable as-is and fix this on the breakout PCB, like this:...

Oh, you're lucky. We had one RadioShack here in western MA for a while. Then it closed and re-opened as BRW Electronics (I think that's what it was called?) which was only open for a year or two before closing. I don't...

Thanks for the report, and I'm glad to hear that it mostly went well. I'm very curious to see photos of the socket issue, because I just assembled one with the socket kit and it went pretty smoothly. Now I'm going to go...

You're welcome! They're in-progress. I'm experimenting with Dozuki's free offering (think iFixit) for step-by-step instructions with photos. This happens to me all the time. And every time I think "I'll be...

Yes, very much so! As you can see from the replies, it's in the second round of beta testing right now.

Hi there, I'm wondering if the Bootloader Chips for sale on the PJRC store (part number IC_MKL02Z32_QFN16, https://www.pjrc.com/store/ic_mkl02.html) support booting the Teensy 4.0 (aka the NXP i.MX RT1062 chip)? I...

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this one goes. You'll notice that I added two white line markings onto this version of the flex cable. They're designed to align with the existing white lines on the underside of...

I changed the SD card socket. I have a feeling that some of you are going to be very happy about this. The new one doesn't have any overhang, so it should be much easier to solder. It's slimmer too. The new...

Thanks, this is great. So, what's your opinion about the ALT5 column in the PIN MUX table then? Should it be left as-is: GPIO1_IO03 GPIO1_IO02 GPIO4_IO04

I think it will be easiest to solder the SD socket first, but it will also be easier now that the pads are longer too. I'm going to do some experimenting. This round will have step-by-step assembly instructions (with...

Yikes! I totally forgot about this. Now I remember why those two GND pins were next to each other. I've put them back in order. The TPS2055A does have an EN pin, and I just had it connected to VIN. But... What...

Ok! So, in preparation for ordering a new batch, I made some more changes: Replaced the TPD3S014 chip with the TPS2055A chip, as requested, which is larger and should be easier to solder. Added pads for the...

Sounds great! Yes, I'll include a socket kit too. Probably not, since the previous A3 revisions were never manufactured. This will stay at A3 until fab'd. Great to hear!

I'm not sure about this change, and even less sure after reading the response by @KurtE ... This is a great suggestion, and I've updated the chart! PDF: Low-res raster preview image:
