Hey all! You guys are awesome. Got home safely, but then had a crazy busy weekend. Looks like I have some work to do! I should be able to make revisions this week. I might hold off on sending out more kits...

Wow, thanks everyone for all the detailed tests and replies here! Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm away from home until late on Wednesday (9/18) so I won't be able to ship anything else out until then. I might...

How do folks feel about this kind of battery holder? Only works with 1220 (and maybe 1225) cells, but that's the most common thickness anyway. Examples: MPD BC501SM Keystone 1056

My technique with these has been: apply flux, place component, tape it down if necessary (I usually don't), heat up it tip of one pad without touching the header, then apply some solder to the pad only (without touching...

I agree. The most difficult thing for me is the SD socket because of its little overhang. I'm excited to investigate the possibility of the "removable" cover, because that alone could remedy this. Also, the order of...

I have Socket Kits put together now. Happy to send you one! That goes for anyone else beta testing too. Let me know if you'd like a Socket Kit and/or another Breakout kit along with it. This is very sound advice....

I don't think the (stated) 0.43 mm difference would matter in practice, and I suspect that the same pogo pins would still work too. Keep in mind that to fully socket the Teensy (3.6 or 4.0) you'd have to order a...

I order these headers directly from Samtec. Their online ordering is fine overall, but very annoying when it comes to shipping costs since it doesn't calculate them for you, so you just have to guess. I've had some...

The back of the pinout card will have the dimensional drawing on it. The mux table will be printed on legal size paper (8.5 x 14) so will be easy to read.

Ok, this is a bit of a tangent, but... I made a pin mux table based on section 9.1.1 (pages 289-316) of the i.MX RT1060 Processor Reference Manual. i.MX RT1060 Pin Mux Table CSV (zipped): Teensy 4.0 Pins Mux...

Dis you mean will the back of the card have anything on it? I wasn't planning on it. Anything useful you'd like to see there?

I don't know yet. I still have to get my hands on one of those pressure fit connectors to test it with the flex cable. The datasheet indicates a recommended thickness of 3.0 Ī 0.05 mm and the flex cable is 2.6 mm thick....

The basic kit will include totally generic tin-plated square-post header strips. The ones pictured here, which will be included in the optional Socket Kit, are Samtec low-profile socket strips (SLW-1**-01-F-S and -D)...

For the basic breakout kit, the flex cable would actually be intended to be soldered on both ends. The connector part would be included with a separate socket kit. I don't think there's any reason to use a connector...
