As stated in the post the code was for the Teensy 3.x. It also suggested that you look at the code for the Teensy 4.x.

You are correct, in fact it is labelled "USB HOST" between the D- and D+ pads on the T4.0.

What current draw will the motors pull? For Alkaline batteries you should work on a voltage of 1.2V per battery. Will the motors work off 4.8V?

You haven't said what Teensy it is, nor what batteries you intend to use. Give us that information and we may be able to help you.

What is the size of RAM1 before any compilation. I think that if you add all the memory usage together you will find that it's obviously bytes.

That is NOT a Reset Button, Teensy does NOT have one. It is a programming Button. See below which is part of the Teensy documentation.

The button is NOT a reset button, but is used to put the Teensy into programming mode.

Could you not write a simple program on a Teensy to be the test system.

You could try it using just U and W since V is always in the middle.

If you are using UART8 you should be using Serial8.begin(baudRate); Just look the the code for the serial ports - it set's everything up ready for transmission.
