You are correct, in fact it is labelled "USB HOST" between the D- and D+ pads on the T4.0.

Could you not write a simple program on a Teensy to be the test system.

You could try it using just U and W since V is always in the middle.

If you are using UART8 you should be using Serial8.begin(baudRate); Just look the the code for the serial ports - it set's everything up ready for transmission.

I thought PIO only worked with Visual Studio Code. EDIT: Just did a search on Google and Visual Micro is only able to support Visual Studio on Windows.
