Not sure what is up with the assembly? I see 5V on expected places : VIN, Switch, VHST, VUSB, and high side of two bottom caps? I see 2.5 (?) volts on POWER. Zero on PGM and Top CAP. Near half a volt on the RTC '+'...

Did a { reflow/futz/desolder/reflow/DVM } test cycle on SDIO/USB connector pins the past 30+ mins. USB WORKS to read SD card with USB Dongle! Same SD card fails on SD Socket - going to hope that is FLUX to be...

Indeed I got the SD shroud off - and seemingly back on after making it look like it was soldered :) Then I got the Ribbon connector to 'look' soldered. I gave up trying to hack up short AdaF sized headers - and...

Nice work on the research. As noted AFAIK that is the PJRC standard serial number generation from the unique device MAC : "similar to prior Teensys but MCU specific" in where MAC comes from.

Since the SD isn't part of what needed - that being optional is okay with me - needs a radio too. The ESP32 was really power hungry with WiFi ( and adding the Teensy ) - the ESP32 PICO looks better with Bluetooth and...

Indeed 12 bit - That was noted during development in the Beta T4 thread and the ref man AFAIK.

The M0 'bootloader' chip on JTAG port is what makes it a PJRC Teensy. It enables upload of HEX files over USB port. Giving full access to CPU and its function in a usable and ideally UnBrickable way as configured on...

If the user code never exits loop() - that is mostly baremetal - leaving loop() calls Arduino tyoe yield() before returning to loop(). There are just lots of libs and resources made active or linkable in an Arduino...

Didn't see it come up in beta or since - but the Serial Number of Teensy is derived from the MAC ID in this code in ...\hardware\teensy\avr\cores\teensy4\usb_desc.c: void usb_init_serialnumber(void) { char buf;...

Nice pics - that even captured the USB chip label '|S11' - and lots of flux goop. Printed them for my assembly reference in a few hours ... Glanced last night and the SD pins under shroud are reachable - at least...

I measured my battery and my cheapo meter showed 3.25V. My flux ends up tacky { not sure if from solder core or my paste tub } - so if not all gone when I hit with a paper towel I get paper fibers on the board. So...

That would add some thickness to the build - but with that not only ease of battery access and isolation from the through pins as soldered - but also a non metallic bottom bumper with that insulating shroud where the...

The MINI Tactile is on the POWER On/Off signal - holding about 5 secs should take it to OFF and then will power up with a ~half second press. This takes the end pin connect for that to be properly in place.

Try it with the default 256 setup on samples perhaps - and pull the code from \hardware\teensy\avr\libraries\Audio\examples\MemoryAndCpuUsage\MemoryAndCpuUsage.ino to see how much CPU is left? Then for the smaller...
