No new issues so far. Haven't looked at any of the new features but all old stuff seems to work.
Last line of my post above is incorrect. The T4 and T4.1 already have the external crystal. Data sheet Table 4.1.6 suggests 20uA. Not sure why I see 30.
KiCad for sure.
If your a linux user most of the ease of use issues that Mac and Winoz users complain about will be upgrades for you ;)
The worst thing about KiCAD is managing the libraries where...
Thought I was getting defective CR1220 button cell battery's. However, measuring RTC currents:
T3.2 1.24uA
T4.0 30uA
Doesn't seem like much but with a 35mAH, 20mm dia. coin cell battery...
Might be better to change the addresses I don't know.
Otherwise:
In your sketch above change something like:
change MPU6050 to Adafruit_MPU6050 everywhere
accelgyro1.initialize(); to...
Don't think the MPU6050 library is setup to handle anything but wire.
Rather than rewrite the library Iv'e delt with this by putting: #define Wire Wire1 into the offending.cpp library and put that...
@JotaEfe13
Not sure if you have the display hooked up when your having this problem. I see a 'ILI9341_t3 tft = ILI9341_t3(T...'
If the display is hooked up then you must do 'tft.begin();' in...
Haven't tried those particular displays, but have had similar startup issues with others using serial data and long wires. The solution was to add a delay(100) before the lcd.init().
The print...
Curious, 4MHz is the default for SPI if you don't specify it. This could be one of those who's called last mentioned.
Search for onewire in the library manager. It works the same as with any micro.
I was wrong in that post and can't modify it. I now think your using it correctly except maybe the wrong pin.
Try this in a google search: site: forum.pjrc.com T4 SPI CS
You could try...
@BlueTurtle Its looks like your using pin 31 for the SPI CS. Others can comment but I think SPI wants that on pin 10. It may work but not reliably?
One other thing. I had an issue a while ago...
Looks like your not using the TMC2130Stepper object that uses the SPI if that helps anything.
Perhaps when the Rpi is updated to the latest it won't work either? Maybe more error checking or different defaults.
Why is SPI.begin() commented out? Where are SPI pins assigned?
Probably not the issue but latest MacOS is 10.15.6. Usually, the latest of everything is the best bet when something weird is happening, but, otherwise don't change anything:)
My reason for pointing this out is that the Teensy I/O is not as flexible as it might seem at first glance. Certain functions only work or work best on certain pins. SPI only works good on a few...
Hi @PhilB,
Thanks for the quick reply. I really like open source and really like to have things run the way I want them to. Also get tired of things happening or usually not happening with...
Looked over what I could find in your links and have some questions. I'm also curious about what niche you are intending to fill.
I run Gecko Drive G320 DC motor drivers at 20A, 56V with 2024 line...
You probably already have it, but for others out there 'The C Programming Language' by Kernigham and Ritchie, second edition 1988 pretty much handles these kinds of questions. I still use the 1978...
pow(base, exponent)
Sounds like a similar problem I had with a setup used for all sorts of SPI and I2C testing. I would leave everything connected even if I wasn't using it. After occasional issues, especially with...
Don't know about your FRAM but there is something about if just one ram chip it has to be on the smaller pad location.

That was FAST ! :)
thought there might be more to it than just the defines.
ps. It took me longer to reply than it took you to fix post and reply !

MacOS 10.15.4 Catalina install, no problems, all RTC issues, (and I think I was struggling with all of them) on T4.0 and T4.1 have been resolved. Don't have the spacing issue @KurtE notes above. ...

@chileflora,
I was trying to be humorous. As I pointed out everybody uses bga parts. Just don't expect the parts to last forever. On the bright side I should have mentioned above that the cold...

Rezo, you don't need to do anything else. It's all pre-installed in the Teensyduino.app when you unzip it. The instructions haven't been updated for the super easy Catalina install. The main odd...
Could someone explain why this works. Should the library have set this?

I think your correct on that. The table above the schematic is correct.
