Is Teensy 4.1 even an option? Does it work the 4.0 firmware and the common pins?
@defragster thanks. Got a psram coming from PJRC I can use later I guess or with Arduino. I bet the flash would hold 30 seconds of audio.for a project I have in mind I could do in Arduino if 12 bit...
On mine I am going to try some python but what would be better two psram chips or one and a flash chip?
Thank you Paul, Awesome job yet again.
"Everyone on this list who does not receive a pre-production board will be offered a free Teensy 4.1" I was lucky enough to be on the list, do I need to email PJRC to get one? I am honored to have...
41 would probably be more than u ever need seeing as the options you can solder on the bottom already. .
Will there be pads for extra io’s on the back for surface mount connectors like in the 4.0? I will probably buy a couple when they ship either way but most of my microcontrollers end up unused...
I want to learn Python and Rust but I just keep putting it off. I hope this nudges me to give it a shot.
All the drivers you get with circuitpython sure make it seem easier for a noobie. I haven't started my embedded python journey yet but will very soon. The 4 is the first microcontroller I fell is...
Would it be practical to try to use a Teensy 4 fft to display +/- 50khz and 20khz around a center of 455 khz as an aid to peak and center if? I could really use that at work. They are too cheap to...
Ahh thank you. I thought you meant to get back to the basic Arduino environment. This would be my first try at Circuit Python so I have nothing to backup. If I ever get past ground zero I want to get...
Which files do we need to back up?
Please just move discussion over to the real source for info. All I know is in the video.

Thanks! I was wondering how it worked. I didn't think drag and drop would be possible on a Teensy 3.x/4 so I thought the only choice might have been microphyton.
OLED feather, not a LCD.
Lady Ada posted a Youtube video showing a 4 in a feather adapter pulling data with a esp32 feather and displaying it an a feather lcd. It’s still a preview build port for the NXP chip by a third...
I personally wouldn’t mind if it got a 0.1” wider. It’s not like I plug them into actual IC sockets. It probably would make routing a whole lot easier. That would eliminate 3.5/3.6 pin location...
@FRDM4236 I’m curios and if you don’t mind what issues or concerns caused you to break the headers into multiple pieces?
I took a soldering class years ago as part of ongoing training related to ISO9000 for a former employer and the trainer didn't fully trust no/non-clean flux. His issue was that its only promised to...
Thanks for a quick answer. I was looking for a V2 link is what my self inflected issue was so I ignored the V3 linked page. The bump out on the side for extra USB support was not something I was...
Why not a link to either your OSHPark shared boards or directly to this one. It was a bit hard to find. Or at least one on WWW.trainer4edu.com. 3 of the one without the bump out for USB host on the...
But any 1070 based item would also likely have a lot tacked onto it to leach power.
You’re right bigger regulator is more a 4.01 hope. My bad
I’m confused still after reading most of the linked thread. The top half of ram is usable for stuff like larger arrays if logged data?
How about a beefier or 2nd controllable 3.3 voltage regulator?
ADC’s ? How about a DAC or two? Only thing I see missing from the 4. Or maybe some of those spots like for external memory on the audio sheild . I am also a bit worried if the 4is overclocked there...
Thanks for posting over clocking currents. That’s quite a big jump at 816 MHz. I finally found my 4.0’s in a box under the bed(?!) so I can start trying afew things.
Two things.
One this thread should be stickied so it’s at the top of announcements.
The other is just a question or two. How much current is the Teensy 4 pulling at max overclock with the...
Mine shows a teensy on windows now that I pulled it out of a bad breadboard. Was resetting the chip. I forgot it got wet year's ago.... That took awhile....
Thanks Paul, this will be my new solution for when I have a work project. I am trying to rid myself of Dropbox entirely too. Soon I will be running Git on NextcloudPi
Thanks I will do it first thing in the morning. I had used a Drop box folder last year so I could work at work on a project and put all my sketches there but now its just causing problems. Mainly on...
My install of Arduino seems to be messed up. I uninstalled and reinstalled it because it was causing problems with ESP libraries too. it but it still fails for multiple files found. It even had the...
Installed fine here on Windows 10. Will try this weekend on 3.2's but I cant find my dang 4.0s. ☹
1170 1070 was a typo
The 1070 has two arm cores? Wow

Can you run Arduino and Teensydunio in a Windows 10 VMware marching to test deploy from scratch installs of the whole tool chain?
Could just be that the smaller form factor sells are a lot higher
The restore blink mode if program button held for 15 seconds would be a great upgrade if it fits in the old boot loader chip the next time you build a new batch.
That's cool, I don't. I should have added something about me being newebish...
10 minutes? does the screen/power saver kick in then?
I often have to replace a 1 mm pitch FFC soldered in at work and the most critical part for me seem so be alignment of the cable to the pads. It has to be the best you can make it not just close. ...
Dumb question time. If you buy the 5 v powered versions do you need a level shifter for the 4? I'm not sure if the logic is 3.3 v and just the main power is 5 v or both. It would be easier to just...
I suggest you try pulling it ti ground and 3.3 with a ma meter to see how much current it takes. Also if you have a scope see it it's actually got a altering level (data) on it. It could be the 3.x...
I'm thinking of a big display but I really like cap touch like on my phone. So resistive is the way to go and doesn’t need calibration?
It's a good problem to have, shows how good of a job you did giving both value for your money with unmatched speed.
And I a third batch too. If I remember correctly the 2nd was mostly accounted for by sales and distributer commitments.
Found in post 137 in the 4.0 released thread by Paul:
”... The 3rd...
I should have known that. Thanks
Thanks! What’s the DMG2305UX’s function? I thought it might be to allow Ext Vin and the USB to power it at the same time but I it’s not set up that way.
What do you think of the SD card connector on a separate tiny pcb? The flex pcb could already be soldered to it
Looks good, is you guy’s updates going into the link a couple messages back?
