Hello!

The Tensy 4.0 modules are equipped with commercial temperature range device 0...70°C, but we would like to use these modules in automotive application too.
In this environment the lowest temperature can be -20°C at cold start.
Is it possible to order Tensy 4.0 module with industrial temerature range?
What happand if I power on the module in -20°C?

No. They're all made (in large batches) with the commercial temperature rated chip.

If you set Tools > USB Type to only 528 MHz or slower before you upload your code, odds are very good (but not guaranteed) that it will just work.

Thank you for your advise!
Ok, I will try to decrase the CPU speed as slow as possible, for example 24MHz.
I think it won't be critical, because earlier we used a 8051 microcontroller at 22MHz for the same application.

USB does not work reliably when running so slowly.

I'd recommend using 528 or 396 MHz. Unless you need very low power consumption, there's probably no advantage to running slower than 396 MHz.

OK, in our application we don't use the USB port, we use only the CAN Buses (it will be a CAN gateway).
The other side higher speed cause higher power consumtion (higher self heating), it would be usefull for us at this cold environment.
