Teensy 3.1 audio output advice

Hi

So I have been trying to implement a similar project and am hoping to connect my teensy over bluetooth to wireless bluetooth speakers to send audio files. I'm a noob at this and have gone through two different bluetooth modules, the bluesmirf gold and RN 52 to try to implement this. The bluesmirf does not support audio and the rn 52 cannot act as a master. I need the teensy with bluetooth module to initiate interaction with car speakers and then send audio files.

Any suggestions about hardware that can do this or projects that are helpful would be extremely appreciated! Currently I'm also attempting to use the teensy with bluesmirf to communicate with a raspberry pi but without any luck. Please help!!

I have the same problem and I think the Teensy's buffer is overflowing. Please let me know if you managed to solve it
Thanks,

I purchased one of the Sparkfun BC127 breakout boards. I have no idea when I'll ever manage to get time to do much with it, but at least it'll be here if I do....

Paul, did you ever get to try this out with the BC127? I'm trying to stream audio (as master) to a remote bluetooth speaker, and also play the audio to a local speaker. Therefore, a 'wireless-capable' teensy audio shield would be incredibly helpful.

Has anyone seen any advances on this since early 2014?

BT audio

Hey guys,

So I'm working on a project that's looking to use the teensy 3.1 to receive audio from a Bluetooth receiver, and looking to output that audio through a speaker. I'm pretty sure the teensy audio shield will be able to do what I need, but I'm a little unsure of how to go about it.

Basically, how would I hook up the Bluetooth module to the teensy using the audio shield, and then connect it to an audio amplifier to a speaker.

I'm using the Bluesmirf silver module from Sparkfun https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12577

And the DTA-100a amplifier from Dayton Audio. http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-dta-100a-class-t-digital-mini-amplifier-50-wpc--300-383

I'm not entirely sure where to hook up the output of the Bluetooth module on the Teensy. As for outputting to the audio amplifier, does the audio shield have a headphone out jack on it?

Hello everybody,
It’s my first comment here but I reading forum almost every and Teensy is my favourite.
If you guys need some BT audio, on Ebay it is a plenty Chinese cheap modules. I know half of them is a crap but worth to have look what they selling.

I got few modules and used in my implementations. If you not an audiophile then they will be good .

This is my favourite, nice 2,4G wifi audio module. 5V powered and stereo audio in/out 24bitAD
I tested it and really enjoyed. Just connect straight to the amplifier and DAC on Teensy or whatever you want any audio sources, easily without programming if you not able to do
