Hi;
I’m thinking about upgrading to the teensy 3.1 (or possibly 3.1++ if and when it is released). My question is this. What do I need to consider if attempting to interfacing 3.3volt logic from teensy 3.1 to 5 volt IC’s? Ex: max 232, max 485, various ADC’s and DAC’s. I have read up on a few of the ic’s and most show something similar: 0-0.8v for low and 2.4-5 high. Since the teensy 3.1 will tolerate 5 volt inputs and the 3.3 volt output should be over the 2.4 switch point of the ic’s inputs it should work correct? I realize the optimal situation would be to redesign for all 3.3 volt system but some of my parts require 5 volts. I’m not looking for a complete solution just suggestions from guys that are more experienced then myself.

Thanks for any suggestions.
