Teensy 3.1 IntervalTimer library question

I have the IntervalTimer library working.

Once an IntervalTimer is instantiated with a specified frequency, how does one change the frequency?

timer1.begin(timerCallback1, 100); // period (usec)

end the timer, and start it again with a new interval

timer1.end();
timer1.begin(function, interval);
