Any chance of a cheaper Teensy based on the LogicGreen LGT8F88A? The AVR Teensy's aren't terribly expensive, but for a small production run it would be nice to have rock-bottom priced version. If they can build a $5 Arduino based on this chip, a Teeny based on this chip would cost, what, $8?

Personally, I like the relief provided by Cortex M's from AVR (and PIC) dual memory address (Harvard) architecture. A forever PITA trying to code special things and libraries to cope, e.g., const. strings in flash with AVR.
And as for the LGT8F88A... 1K of RAM is pretty constraining for one-of and hobby/student works.

There are quite a few $7 or so MCU boards on the market for hobby/student projects which can get by with modest MCU resources.
