Two second reset

When you currently press the button on the Teensy it jumps into the bootloader. Can't the bootloader code be modified to reset the Teensy when the button is held down for, say, two seconds? That would a smal improvement over having to power off the device to reset it.
 
There is the reset pad on the bottom, to which you can wire a button.
Personally, it's very, very rare that I need to reset or power cycle. Only when my program has a very odd bug that disrupts the startup and interaction with the boot chip.
