I was wondering if there is any chance 1.5.7 arduino ide could be supported
any chance to get teensyduino on arduino 1.5.7?

Supporting 1.5.X is still low on my priority list.

Today Cristian announced on the Arduino Developers Mailing List that a major refactoring of the 1.5.x branch is under way. A pull request (between branches within their github) was posted, with 79 commits that alter nearly 10,000 lines.
Just when it was starting to look like the 1.5.x branch would settle and become "stable", it seem to be again a pretty rapidly moving target.
The overall nature of the changes they're making seems very good. I'm just not sure how I feel about diverting development time away from things like the Audio library or (someday) new PJRC Teensy products to write support for the new version, and likely have to do it all over again as it changes.
