Yes, that's a solder jumper that is closed in stock teensys. You can cut it with a knife and solder it closed again if need be. If this jumper is open, you can power the Teensy from Vin from batteries or a PSU and use USB for communication at the same time without backfeeding voltage into the USB port of your computer.

If you didn't get one, I'd really like to know which distributor shipped a Teensy without the card, since the card is always supposed to be provided. Thanks, I got the reference card, just didn't realize that info was on there.

Ok, from the reference card I can see that the 100uF(150uF?) cap is there to enable USB host mode, and that the 32.768kHz crystal is to enable the Real-Time-Clock.

Any more info on these?:

- The button?
- The LED?
- The optional 32.768kHz crystal? What is it for?
- The fuse?

I realize I was a bit vague in my question. Since this is a thread about the actual components I am interrested in the DigiKey partnumbers for the Button, LED and Fuse. I realize that these are fairly standard parts, but it's always nice to know the exact partnumbers used by the original, so that I can find parts that are as close as possible.

Are the parts people have mentioned here suitable for a teensy 3.5 based schematic?
Mostly the crystals and the diodes? I'm assuming PJRC use the same ones on each board?

A parts list would be absolutely WONDERFUL as I've been trying to just copy the schematic and throw in parts as best guesses.

Just noticed this comment while reading through the thread. I've purchased the last dozen or so 3.6's through Digikey - with leads attached, if I recall correctly - and they weren't shipped with cards. I have plenty of reference cards handy, but I thought that I'd mention it since you asked.
