Does PJRC ili9341 display work with 3.3v?

I have hooked up ili9341 display to Teensy 3.1 using 5volts at Vin of Teensy 3.1.

The display works great.

Is it recommended to use 5volts or can I use 3.3v and adjust the backlight resistor appropriately?

Yes, it will work from 3 to 5 volts.

Right now I have one running from a T3.1's 3.3 volt output and without a backlight resistor.
Just using a pwm output to drive the backlight.......analogWrite(x,175).......and the display
is very readable. The teensy doesn't even get warm. Kudos to PJRC for making these available.
For the price they are great little displays.
