IR Remote Decodings

I recently purchased an IR remote from Adafruit and was trying to use it with my Teensy 3.1. When attempting to decode the buttons I am receiving different decodings from the same button press as well as different encoding types from different buttons. Is there anyway to make these more stable and reliable? An example of one button...

Unknown encoding: D8DC4B2 (32 bits)
Raw (12): -955350 7250 -150 1600 -4500 550 -1800 200 -100 200 -4150 150
1644C1C1
Unknown encoding: 1644C1C1 (32 bits)
Raw (68): -1508350 8950 -4550 550 -600 550 -600 550 -600 550 -600 550 -650 550 -600 550 -600 550 -600 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -600 550 -1700 550 -600 550 -600 550 -1700 550 -600 550 -600 550 -600 600 -600 550 -600 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -600 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -1650 550 -1700 550
FFFFFFFF
Decoded NEC: FFFFFFFF (0 bits)
Raw (4): -40900 8950 -2250 550
6628DF6B
Unknown encoding: 6628DF6B (32 bits)
Raw (14): -3632050 350 -600 200 -150 500 -250 350 -250 400 -150 350 -200 350

... other than unknown encoding some buttons are NEC and JVC. Thanks for any help.

Receiving some different encodings is normal, but not that much..

i never tried this remote , nor these libraries (have my own), but:

- is your receiver speicified for the same freq. ? there 2-3 different standards (36khz, 38.khz, 36.7 khz, maybe more i don't remember exactly)
- some of them require a series resistor + capacitor

don't try too close to the receiver, usually it works better with some distance (1 meter for example)

I had looked on the website and it is supposed to be sending NEC codes #0 - #26, The range seemed to help a little bit, but still not very accurate. I am following a similar setup to a guide so it should be hooked up correctly. I may try another library to see if that works any better.
