Quadcopter BEC for Teensy

I'm building a quadcopter that will use a Teensy 3.1 for the brain. The electronic speed controllers (ESCs) used to control the motors have built-in BECs that I can use to pull power from (which outputs 5V at 1A). I will only be using a handful of pins on the Teensy (e.g., 4 PWM pins to control each of the 4 motors), so I'm wondering if the 5V/1A output from the BEC will be enough to power the Teensy? Just for more info, I'm using a 3-cell 11.1V LiPo to power all of the ESCs/Motors.

Don't see why not; the Teensy only draws 20 mA inmost cases. Just make sure you don't drive 1 A through the Teensy or exceed its 5.5 V input limit.

Thanks for the info onehorse. The Teensy should just pull whatever it needs then, as long as the power supply from the BEC is more than it's max load.
